WebRTC leak
A browser API that can expose local or real addresses despite a VPN or proxy.
WebRTC enables real-time communication in browsers. During ICE candidate gathering it may reveal local network addresses — and in some configurations, a public address different from the one the site sees.
For account safety this matters: a VPN that hides the HTTP address can still leak a private IP through WebRTC, and platforms can correlate it.
Check it yourself: our fingerprint panel shows whether WebRTC exposes a private address in your browser.
