Browser fingerprint

The combination of browser and device traits that identifies a client without cookies.

A browser fingerprint is the set of traits a browser exposes: user agent, screen, languages, timezone, installed fonts, WebGL renderer, canvas rendering quirks, and more. Combined, they are stable enough to link accounts even when the IP changes.

That is why IP checks alone are insufficient: two accounts on the same device are linked by the fingerprint, not the address.

Our fingerprint panel shows the values your browser exposes and whether they agree with your IP.
