Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what the checker can and cannot tell you.
- How accurate is the “datacenter disguised as residential” verdict?
- On our test set, datacenter IPs sold as residential are caught more than 80% of the time, because the ASN owner is usually obvious (Vultr, DigitalOcean, OVH and similar). Residential verdicts are more conservative — treat them as a screen, not a guarantee.
- Why is the confidence only 70% for residential?
- We do not yet license a commercial residential-proxy database. A residential verdict means the ASN looks like a normal ISP range and nothing suspicious matched — it is a screen, not proof that the IP is clean on every platform.
- Does using IPASK guarantee my store will not be linked?
- No. Platform linkage depends on many signals beyond IP: device fingerprint, browser environment, payment method, behaviour. IP is one of the cheapest things to fix first, which is why we start there.
- Which platforms does this apply to?
- The IP judgement is platform-neutral. Sellers use it for Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada and independent stores. Each platform weighs signals differently — read the platform rules alongside our verdict.
- Where does the data come from?
- GeoLite2-City for location, IPtoASN for network ownership, the official Tor exit list, and our own rule engine for classification. Everything is queried locally on our server; the IP you paste is not forwarded to third parties.
- Do you store the IPs I paste?
- No. The list is processed in memory and discarded. Logs keep only call counts for billing. See our Privacy page for details.
- How long does a license last?
- 30 days from payment. The key works repeatedly within your daily quota.
- How do I pay?
- USDT (TRC-20) through our payment gateway. The amount is converted at checkout. Your key is issued automatically once the network confirms the payment.
- What if I exhaust my daily quota?
- The quota resets at 00:00 (server time). You can buy a higher plan if you need more.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, if the license has not been used: see Refund policy.
