Seven warm-up mistakes that quietly burn a new account
Most warm-up failures are not dramatic — they are small inconsistencies repeated for a week. Here are the seven we see most.
1. Changing the IP mid-way
The single most common mistake. Every change resets the platform's history of the account. If the exit IP moves, you restart.
2. Using a datacenter IP for registration
The address type is checked before behaviour. A hosting ASN is the cheapest mistake to avoid — and the easiest to detect.
3. Editing the profile every day
New accounts that add a field, a photo and a payment method within an hour look scripted. Change one thing per session.
4. Behaviour that does not match the market
A US store that browses at 3 am local time, with no local phone and no local payment, is a mismatch stack.
5. Reusing a browser profile
Two accounts on one fingerprint are linked regardless of IP. Clone profiles only if you want to be linked.
6. Rushing to sell
Listing products on day one is the classic tell. Buy something first, then list.
7. Not recording anything
If a review happens, you need the timeline: which IP, which day, what changed. Without records you cannot answer specifically.
What good looks like
One IP, one device, one login, a slow sequence, and a written record. Our warm-up planner builds the sequence for your platform; the watchlist keeps the record and tells you when the address changes.
