TikTok Shop: why your IP region and your shop region must agree
Region mismatches are one of the most common reasons a TikTok Shop gets limited. Here is how to check alignment before you apply.
The three regions
TikTok Shop cares about three things at once: the region you select for the shop, the country your network appears to be in, and the country attached to your phone number and payment method. When they disagree, the account looks like it is being operated from somewhere else.
What mismatch looks like
- Shop registered in the UK, IP resolves to the US → immediate review on first login.
- Local phone, but datacenter IP in another country → verification requests before the first sale.
- IP that hops between countries every day → looks like a shared proxy pool.
How to get alignment right
- Decide the market first. Everything else follows from it.
- Use an address in that country, from a consumer ISP — check the network type.
- Register a phone number from that market, or at least a number that matches the payment country.
- Keep the exit IP stable for the first two weeks.
Before selling, warm the account
TikTok is a behaviour-first platform: watching and interacting for several days before adding a shop looks far more natural than a fully built profile with no activity. Our warm-up planner generates the day-by-day sequence.
Quick verification
Run the IP through the checker and look at the network type and country rows. If they do not match the market you selected, fix it before you submit the application — after submission, changes are slower and more suspicious.
